Apple Snow Leopard Mac OS X Coming August 28

Apple Snow LeopardApple just announced that Snow Leopard will be arriving on August 28th, which is a little earlier than expected.

According to Apple, changes to Snow Leopard include:

  • Many performance improvements and smaller footprint
  • Addition of many newer technologies:
    • All system applications are 64 bit
    • Grand Central Dispatch for Multi-Core Awareness
    • OpenCL
    • Quicktime X
  • More plug and play and automatic device driver updates
  • A lot of accessibility features for people with disabilities
  • Integrated support for Microsoft Exchange for Enterprise Customers
  • New look for Expose and Stacks
  • etc...

This is pretty much a must buy as it represents the next evolution in Mac OS X.

Upgrading to Snow Leopard only costs $29 for a single user license. You can also buy family packs and the full versions as well.
