Snagit Has Timed Captures for Screen Captures - Delayed - Scheduled - Intermittent

SnagIt Timed Screen CapturesYou have to love Snagit, which is a screen capture application from TechSmith I talk about every now and then. The application sits quietly in the system tray and comes in handy, like today, when I needed to take a capture of the screen about 30 seconds after I clicked capture on Snagit's UI. Don't ask why I needed the timed capture, I just did :) I didn't know Snagit did this, but heck it does just about anything so it didn't surprise me to find that not only will it take a single capture at a specified interval, but you can also set it to continuously take snapshots at a specific interval. In fact, after doing a search, Snagit will take 3 time-based captures:

  • Time Delayed Capture
  • Time Scheduled Capture
  • Timer for Intermittent Capturing

You can read more about it here.

The other feature I love from time-to-time is the auto-scroll for capturing long windows. It is seriously cool. TechSmith mentions it here.

Talk about getting creative with screen captures :)
