I was wondering why I had iLife '08 on my MacBook Pro when I never purchased it and apparently iLife comes with a new Mac. My wife uses iPhoto and iMovie quite a bit for family photos and movies, so I purchased a copy of iLife '09
which was just recently released by Apple.
According to Apple, iMovie '09 has a number of new features:
- Advanced Drag and Drop
- New Precision Editor
- Dynamic Themes
- Animated Travel Maps
- Video Stabilization
- New Titles, Transitions, and Effects
- Full-Screen Library Browser
iPhoto '09 has numerous features, too:
- Faces
- Places
- Themed SlideShows
- Online Sharing ( Facebook )
- Enhanced Photo Editing
- Travel Maps
and, if you use iDVD, GarageBand, iWeb, etc. you will also find new features in those applications, too.
I typically buy the Family Pack
so everyone can run the application on their Mac, but in general, if you buy it I would buy it from Amazon as Apple Software is always cheaper on Amazon. Check out iLife '09.
