I downloaded the new Google Mobile iPhone Application with voice activated search. This is seriously cool as more times than not it searches for exactly what I said. I can see the voice activated searching being useful all the time, especially while in motion like when riding in a car and searching for something. Note I did not say driving! If you are typing on any mobile device while driving you need to be thrown in jail immediately.
I am talking about while riding as a passenger in a car and using the iPhone to look for a good restaurant or the location of a store in the area. It can be a real challenge typing on the iPhone while moving in a car or even walking. The voice activated search relieves you of all the typing by responding to your search terms that you say into the phone.
The first few times it was more of a hit and miss, but after about a dozen times I can pretty much now get the voice activated search working all the time. This is brilliant as I now prefer it over typing my search terms in all cases.
The iPhone continues to impress me with the useful applications and games. Not only do I use it for my business, but it is a serious gaming machine that my kids and I love. If you don't have it, you are missing out.
