There are a lot of new features for the ASP.NET Web Developer in VS2008. I can attest that it is often difficult to keep up with all the features in Visual Studio 2008 for the visual web developer. And, hey, Visual Studio 2008 SP1 is just around the corner with a lot more really cool goodies for web developers like ASP.NET Dynamic Data, ADO.NET Entity Framework, ADO.NET Data Services ( Astoria ), and the really cool new URL Routing Engine that you can find in the previews of the ASP.NET MVC Framework.
If you are yearning for little tips, tricks, and tutorials on ASP.NET, the Visual Web Developer Team at Microsoft has started a blog providing little tidbits of advice. Most of them are a bit basic and have to do with the Visual Studio 2008 IDE at the moment, but hopefully they will stick with it and get a bit better:
- Tip #1 – Powerful CSS Tools to Create, Manage and Apply Styles
- The Style Application Toolbar works in both Auto and Manual modes?
- Split View could be set vertically in VS 2008
I often forget there are new ASP.NET Web Developers everyday and so basic tutorials on ASP.NET, web development, and Visual Studio are always in demand.
