I mentioned yesterday that Dell had its worldwide launch of the Dell Studio Hybrid Desktop Computer:
You may have not caught QVC last night ( Tuesday, July 29, 2008 ), but QVC had the Studio Hybrid Computer with the 20” monitor for a little over $1300, which apparently is $200 less than what is on their website. Supposedly, you willl never see the Studio Hybrid Computer for that low price again, but you can find it on QVC for $1554. Note: I am not pushing QVC. I just happened to catch the word “Dell“ when flipping through the cable guide.
Anyway, they are touting the Studio Hybrid as an Environmental Friendly / Green Computer. After some searching, I finally found the stats on this Environmental Friendly Computer for those Green Consumers:
Per Dell-
“Studio Hybrid is Dell’s greenest consumer desktop PC.
- Size and materials - Our smallest design is about 80% smaller than standard desktops, and it contains about 75% less printed documentation by weight when compared to typical tower desktops.
- Power usage - Uses about 70% less power than a typical desktop, and meets Energy Star® 4.0 standards with an 87% efficient power supply.
- Packaging - Studio Hybrid packaging is made from 95% recyclable materials. And the Studio Hybrid comes with a system-recycling kit, so you can help preserve and protect the environment.”
