iPhone 3G Videos From AT&T for New Customers and Existing Customers - Be iReady!

iPhone 3G AT&TIf you plan on running to an AT&T store on July 11th to pick up the new iPhone 3G from Apple, AT&T has launched an iReady campaign to inform you on how to make the most of your and their time when you get to the store.

If you will be a new customer with AT&T, I recommend watching their video that gives you steps you can do before July 11th to make the day much easier.  Essentially, before July 11th they are recommending that you

  • Check out their iPhone 3G plans to see which one you want
  • Go to an AT&T Store before July 11th so they can do a credit check
  • Back up any data in your existing phone to transfer to the new iPhone 3G

You also have some things you need to bring to the AT&T store to create a new account for your iPhone 3G: Photo ID, SS Number, possibly money for a deposit, money for new account activation fee.

If you have an existing wireless plan with another wireless carrier, you will also need several pieces of information that you can usually find on your bill. The iPhone 3G video has the details, so make sure you check it out.

There is also a separate iPhone 3G Video for existing AT&T customers, you can watch it here.

The 16GB iPhone 3G is apparently $299 and availble in black and white, whereas the 8GB iPhone 3G is $199 and available only in black.

You can find the various wireless calling, text, and data plans for the iPhone 3G here.

Lots of stuff to think about before you go waltzing into an AT&T or Apple Store on July 11th :)

Good luck!
