Visual Studio 2008 HTML Designer Vertical Split View and Default Open Options

I am rather fond of a vertical split view in the Visual Studio 2008 HTML Designer, but the default view is horizontal.
Choosing Tools > Options > HTML Designer > General in Visual Studio 2008 will allow you to change the default horizontal split view to vertical as well as choose how you want pages to be opened by default: source view, design view, or split view.
