A video shot by Charlie Calvert talking with Peter Hallam of the C# Compiler Team about Automatically Implemented Properties that will be implemented in the Visual Studio Orcas C# Compiler and Extension Methods that will be implemented in C# 3.0.

As mentioned by Charlie Calvert:

“Here is a new video Peter Hallam and I shot in his office. We started off talking about a new feature called automatic properties that will be part of the Orcas release of Visual Studio. The discussion then turns to the history and evolution of the C# language. We briefly cover the exciting time when Peter worked with Anders Hejlsberg and others to shape the C# language. Near the end of the video, the discussion turns to LINQ in general, and extension methods in particular. In this last section, Peter has a chance to explore some simple ways you can use extension methods to enhance the use of interfaces in your programs.”

Watch the video.
