Green Tea Recommendation - Recommended Daily Green Tea Beverage

A recommended daily green tea depends mostly on taste.  Some tea drinkers enjoy more vegetal flavored green tea while other tea drinkers enjoy most subtle flavors.  Japan Green Tea such as Gyokuro and Sencha are more vegetal in flavor while certain China Green Tea, like Dragon Well Lung Ching for example, is a bit more subtle.  Other green tea drinkers enjoy the more scented green tea (pouchong tea), like Jasmine Pearls, which has the aroma of Jasmine flower petals with each and every sip.

Certain green teas will also be much more agreeable to your body at different times of the day.  For example, Gyokuro and Jasmine Pearls cause me heartburn (increased stomach acid) on an empty stomach.  Therefore, I cannot drink them in the early morning, late at night, or well after a meal.  I typically drink Gyokuro or Jasmine Pearls right after a meal.

Certain green tea may have undesirable side-effects, such as staining your teeth.  Gunpowder Green Tea, for example, is a bit darker in color and could stain your teeth.  It's nothing a few Crest Whitening Strips can't reverse, but typically I stay away from the darker green teas as a daily beverage for this reason.

As for me, my recommended daily green tea is a good quality Japanese Sencha.  It has a light cup color, never seems to upset my stomach, is thirst quenching, and tastes good both hot and cold.  My second choice is Dragon Well Lung Ching for many of the same reasons.  A third green tea that I also keep handy is Jasmine Pearls.  The smell of Jasmine is very soothing and “medicinal”, which is great to experience at times.
